These wildflower sketches and paintings were painted from observation of the real flowers found on walks and hikes near our family's cabin in the heart of the Black Hills, SD. They are excerpts from my watercolor journal which travels with me on trips and vacations. Watercolors such as these are a brain refresh for me when I need a step back from oils and revive my drawing skills.
